Announcing the Launch of SipMetrics!

I am very excited to announce the launch of SipMetrics!

SipMetrics is a beverage insights solution designed to support small brands with cost

effective access to consumer data. It’s my hope that this will become a valuable tool for managers of small beverage brands to better understand who their consumers are, why they drink what they do, and how to win them over at shelf.

To achieve this SipMetrics combines research best practices, I’ve gained from consulting for some of North America’s largest beverage brands, with emerging Artificial Intelligence tools from OpenAI. These tools include leveraging the ChatGPT algorithm to provide detailed market intelligence for the hundreds of brands captured in SipMetrics.

What does this mean?

It means SipMetrics can be fine tuned to incorporate beverage flavours, styles, advertising claims and more when crafting an analysis. This ability to fine tune an analysis to the specific factors relevant to a small brand opens up new ways of leveraging consumer data that were previously not practical or relevant for smaller brands.

For the next several weeks I will be releasing new insights from SipMetrics. You can look forward to upcoming articles on consumer segmentation, package claim utility, shopper activation, and the growth of non-alcoholic alternatives.

If you would like to explore how to apply SipMetrics in your organization, please contact me.

Also coming down the pipeline is an online dashboard interface for SipMetrics. The plan is to provide access to the data through an interactive dashboard that would let users conduct their own analysis for a low annual subscription fee. This is part of Rapport Research’s mission to provide affordable access to consumer insights for small brands with commiserate budgets. If you would like access to the pre-launch version of this dashboard please reach out.

Lastly, I must lament that the current version of SipMetrics is limited to only Beer, Cider, Hard Seltzer, and RTD brands. I would love to expand into Wine, Coffee/tea, and other beverage categories. If you’d like to have some input on what V2 will look like, please join the conversation on the forum.

Thank you all and I look forward to helping you.
